About Us
The Community Pregnancy Center of Pasadena (CPC) is dedicated to helping women who are facing issues such as:
All CPC counselors receive on-going training and work on a volunteer basis because they want to help women in need.
The CPC Pasadena opened its doors in South Houston in 1983. In 2006, it was moved to a new facility in Pasadena, off Vista and Beltway 8. In April, 2008, the CPC celebrated 25 years of ministry and service to the people of South Houston and Pasadena.
Approximately 2,000 women and teenagers are helped by the CPC annually. All services are free and confidential. Some of the services offered are:
- education on abortion options,
- advice on how to have healthy relationships,
- post-abortion healing for those suffering emotionally from a past choice,
- referrals for medical care and WIC,
- and even referrals to local churches for those searching for a church home.
Medicaid, doctors' offices, WIC and other medical clinics on the south side of Houston refer clients to the CPC facility for help. Check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section for information or contact the Center for details.
CPC staff and volunteers can also assist individuals with referrals for:
and they are authorized to sign Medicaid verification forms.
